Welcome To “THE STORY”
Have your kids ready as we take 31 weeks of 2012 to explore “The Story”. It is a church-wide program that began January 8 for the entire church family. The Children's Ministry is excited to offer three levels of learning for “The Story” They are:
“The Story for Little Ones” Ages 2 & 3
“The Story for Children” Ages 4, 5, & 6
“The Story for Kids” Ages 7-12
“The Story” will be offered in the Preschool Worship Hour & Wed. Evening, Elementary Sunday School, Junior Church, and Wednesday Evening.
Your and your children will connect in a way like never before. So prepare your hearts and minds as we explore “The Story” and how your story fits into God's story!
February Blast Feb. 20, 21, 22, & 24
Need something to do during your Feb. break and you are in between the ages of 7-12? Come over to the church for a week full of great activities. Here's what will be available to your child during the week:
Monday, February 20 - Game Day @ WCC - $5 per person 11 am to 3 pm
Tuesday, February 21 - Movie Day @ WCC - $5 per person 11 am to 3 pm
Wednesday February 22 - Bowling @ AMF Lanes Wdstk - $15 per person 11 am to 3 pm
Friday, February 24 - Kids Sleepover & Secret Destination
$10 per person 7:30 pm to 9 am (Sat).

If you would like to be a part of what goes on in the planning of the Children's ministry, see Chip Ward. This ministry covers nursery, preschool, and elementary ages. We also plan events like sleepovers, socials, VBS, Easter Egg Hunt, Fall Festival, and much more. Nursery
(0-1 Years of Age)
Our Baby Beginnings program is doing wonderfully! It's amazing how much these precious little children are able to learn about God's love in the simplest of ways!
The monthly theme for February: My family loves me

Favorite Video Game - Anything involving sports, but I'd say any of the Madden NFL games.

Romans 12:1-2
Jesus had a lot to say about children. In Matthew 18, Jesus was asked who the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. He called a little child up and said, " I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me ." We at WCC believe in the last words of what Jesus said to his disciples.
When your child comes to WCC, they will know that we feel the same way as Jesus does about them. They will be welcomed into a safe, friendly, and fun environment where they will be shown love and respect. Each children's program is geared for them to grow, learn, and discover what Jesus means to them now and what He desires for them in their future.
We look forward to having the opportunity to minister to your child and plant the seeds that will hopefully lead to a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ. As Jesus himself said, " Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these. " (Matt. 19:14)
