Purpose:
The purpose of the youth ministry of Woodstock Christian Church is to connect all students with activities that help them to build a relationship with Jesus Christ, to prepare them to reach the world they live in with the message of Christ, and in turn make disciples among their peers to increase the Kingdom of God here on earth.

Vision:
The vision of the youth ministry here at Woodstock Christian Church is to see students' lives be transformed by the love of Christ and present a ministry that shows genuine care for all people.

Common Ground is taking a break for the summer and will meet again in August. Watch the website, WCC bulletin, and Newsletter for more information!

Fourth of July Parade (July 3rd)
We will once again be participating in the Woodstock Community Fourth of July Parade. Those that would like to help with the Parade please contact the church office. Please continue to bring assorted hard candies for the parade. Those participating will need to meet us at the church @ 8:00 am, the parade starts @ 10:00 am.

Family Picnic / Fireworks
We will continue the day at approx. 5 pm with a Picnic at the Discount Tire parking lot at the Target/Kohl's shopping center. We'll have activities before the annual Woodstock fireworks display. WCC will provide the meats to grill, so please bring a picnic of sides, desserts, drinks and condiments to share. Steve Aponik will have his grill there for us to use. And then stay for the fireworks that typically begin shortly after 9:00 .

Tubing
The teen ministry is planning 2nd annual end of the summer trip to Helen, GA for tubing. Teens and their families are invited to sign-up on the youth board outside of Roger's office for this trip that will be on Saturday, July 31st. There will be more information in the bulletin about cost soon. Please sign-up today so that we can get a picture of how many to plan for.

Teen Ministry Meeting
Next meeting will be Sunday, July 11th . Please meet in the front of the sanctuary after morning worship. This meeting should last between 10 and 15 minutes.

We are constantly trying to keep our records and information accurate. We are asking that all teens please go online and register your information at http://woodstockchristian.org/teens.htm . There follow the links for Student & Sponsor Sign-up. This is in an effort to make WCC Teen Ministries much more effective in the coming year.

Other Bits of Information:
We are looking at improving the youth room & "cabin" in our education building for 2010. These rooms are the Youth Hang-Out Rooms. If you would like to help in improving these rooms or help by donating what is needed, please call the Church and contact Roger Brooks or e-mail Roger at the church, Rbrooks@woodstockchristian.org ,
